
Luther Kamau and Nancy Steinmann were crowned overall gross winners at the Great Rift Valley Lodge leg of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series held on Saturday, marking another thrilling stop in the tournament’s homestretch.
Kamau, playing off scratch, delivered an impressive 74 gross at the par-71 course to claim the overall men’s title, while Steinmann posted a gross score of 94 to secure the top women’s prize.
“It was a good outing and I’m happy with the score I posted. I look forward to an even better performance during the grand finale at Muthaiga Golf Club next month,” said an elated Kamau.
In other categories, Njuguna Ndung’u (handicap 17) took the Division One title with 32 points.

Division Two honors went to Nyambura Muigai (30 points, handicap 19) and Stuart Scott (32 points, handicap 17) in the ladies’ and men’s sections respectively.
Doug McIntyre topped Division Three with 35 points off handicap 28, while Prince Moreno matched that score off handicap 19 to win the junior category.
Apollo Ascol posted 33 points to claim the staff title, and Steve Nyamanya emerged as guest winner with 34 points off handicap 17.
With their victories, Kamau, Steinmann, Nyambura, Scott, McIntyre, and Moreno booked their spots in the NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale scheduled for November 28 at Muthaiga Golf Club.
As the series edges closer to its climax, Muthaiga will host the final major qualifying round in early November before the highly anticipated finale.
Diamond Leisure Lodge, Nyeri Golf Club, Nyahururu Golf Club, and Kericho Golf Club are set to host mini qualifiers in the form of club mugs, offering more opportunities for golfers to clinch their tickets.
