The 12th leg of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series is set to tee off this Saturday, 7th June, at the scenic Kitale Golf Club, with at least 120 golfers expected to participate in the eagerly awaited tournament.
Kitale Golf Club Captain Andrew Birir expressed his excitement ahead of the event, confirming that all preparations are in place for a seamless tournament.
“It is such a privilege, and we are happy to host this qualifier once again—we thank NCBA for the continued partnership,” he said.
He said they expect a strong field this weekend.
“We’ve put everything in place to ensure a memorable day of golf for all players and spectators. The course is in great condition, and we’re ready to welcome everyone,” said Birir.
NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora also shared his anticipation for the weekend’s action.
“We remain committed to supporting the growth and development of golf across the country. Over the years, Kitale Golf Club has consistently provided an excellent setting for this leg of the series, and we’re proud to continue this tradition. We look forward to another exciting and memorable tournament,” he said.
Golfers will compete in several categories, including Overall Gross Winners (Men and Ladies), Division 2 Men and Ladies Winners, Division 3 Overall Winner, and Junior Winner. Winners in each category will earn a coveted slot at the Series Grand Finale later this year.

The Kitale leg follows closely on the heels of the Nyali Golf and Country Club qualifier held just two weeks ago, which attracted 223 players from across the Mombasa region.

Kaguta, playing off handicap 2, delivered an impressive 68 gross to claim the Men’s Overall Gross title.
He was followed by Henry Kamau (handicap 1), who posted a 74 gross, while Gurbux Singh (handicap 4) secured third place with a score of 76 gross.

Tom Soigwa (handicap 19) came in third with 38 points.
Among the ladies in Division B, Florence Karimi (handicap 21) won with 34 points on countback, narrowly beating Joyce Kamau (handicap 24).

In Division C (handicap 25–54), Virginia Flora (handicap 45) emerged victorious with 40 points, followed by Kabir Kakkar (handicap 36) with 39 and Jayne Githere (handicap 27) with 38.
