Top junior golfers from Kenya and South Africa are set to compete in the 4th edition of the NCBA Faldo Junior Tour Championship.
The event is taking place at Vet Lab Sports Club from today Saturday, May 31 to Monday, June 2.
The championship is part of the globally acclaimed Faldo Junior Tour, founded by six-time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo.
It attracts elite junior talent and is recognized as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event, as well as a key fixture in the Junior Golf Foundation of Kenya Order of Merit.
Last year, four standout juniors—Bianca Ngecu (Girls U16), Antonia Mbuthia (Girls U21), Shashwat Harish (Boys U16), and Elvis Muigua (Boys U21)—represented Kenya at the Faldo Tour Grand Final.

Their strong showing on the international stage underscored Kenya’s rising status in junior golf and inspired a new wave of talent heading into 2025.
This year’s field includes returning stars Ngecu and Mbuthia, alongside Junaid Manji and Belinda Wanjiru, who recently captained the Kenyan team at the 2025 All Africa Junior Team Championship in Tunisia.
Other notable participants include Audrey Gachora, Hazel Kuria, Tsevi Soni, Justin Ngeera, Kanana Muthomi, Yuvraj Rajput, Krish Shah, Kevin Anyien, and Mwathi Gicheru.
Adding to the tournament’s prestige is the participation of South Africa’s Vuyisani Cameron, whose international presence highlights the growing global appeal of the event and raises the level of competition.

The NCBA Faldo Junior Series made its Kenyan debut in 2022 at Limuru Country Club, followed by successful editions at Karen Country Club in 2023 and 2024.
Now in its fourth year, the series continues to grow in stature and influence.
Winners in the four competition categories—Boys U16, Boys U21, Girls U16, and Girls U21—will not only be crowned national champions but also qualify for the prestigious Faldo Junior Tour European Grand Final.
The Grand Final will be held from November 18 to 20, 2025, at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity gives young golfers the chance to compete against the world’s best juniors and gain mentorship from Sir Nick Faldo himself, a three-time Masters champion and three-time Open Championship winner.
