Muthaiga Golf Club’s Greg Snow displayed grit and composure to capture his first-ever Sunshine Development Tour – East Africa Swing title after winning the Betika Masters at Limuru Country Club.
Snow started the final round with a six-shot cushion but found himself under mounting pressure after a shaky front nine, where he carded bogeys on the 1st, 4th, 6th, and 7th holes.
Birdies on the 2nd and 9th offered brief relief as his lead narrowed heading into the back nine.
Despite further bogeys on the 10th and 14th, Snow showed his trademark resilience, bouncing back with a crucial birdie on the 15th before sealing the deal with a dramatic eagle on the par-5 18th.
He closed the tournament at 10-under par 206, claiming both the title and the KSh 400,000 top prize.
“I had a tough round today but I’m glad I managed to pull through,” said a relieved Snow after his victory.
“It feels great to win my first Tour title. When I tied with Celestin after the first nine, I told myself I couldn’t let this slip. My caddy kept me calm, and that made a big difference, especially on the last few holes.”

Windsor Golf Club’s Njoroge Kibugu staged an impressive final-round fightback to finish second on 7-under par 209.
Kibugu began strongly with birdies on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th but a triple bogey on the 6th briefly derailed his momentum.
He recovered with birdies on the 7th, 11th, 15th, and 18th to post a solid 3-under round and earn KSh 214,000.
“I’m happy with how I played today,” Kibugu said.
“Despite the setback on the 6th, I kept my focus and managed to recover. Overall, I feel I gave it my all.”
Rwanda’s Celestin Nsanzuwera rounded out the podium in third place after a composed performance in the final group.
An eagle on the 9th briefly saw him tie for the lead, but three bogeys on the back nine dropped him to 6-under par 210.
He took home KSh 144,700.
“It’s not a bad position for me,” Nsanzuwera said.
“My goal was to finish in the top three at VetLab and Limuru, and I’ve achieved that. My putting let me down a bit today, but overall, I’m satisfied with my performance.”

The eighth leg of the Sunshine Development Tour – East Africa Swing featured 88 players from across the continent, competing for a KSh 2 million prize purse and valuable OWGR, WAGR, and Safari Tour Order of Merit points.
These points are critical for qualification to the 2026 Magical Kenya Open on the DP World Tour.
The Tour now heads to Vipingo Ridge Golf Resort in Kilifi County for its ninth leg next month before concluding with the Tour Finale at Karen Country Club in January 2026.
The season-ending event will bring together the top 30 players from the East Africa Swing and South Africa’s Big Easy Tour, where the best performers will earn cards to the main Sunshine Tour.
