The NCBA Golf Series resumes this Saturday, August 2, at the picturesque par-72 Limuru Country Club, with more than 200 golfers expected to tee off in pursuit of a coveted slot in the NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale set for November.
This leg comes hot on the heels of the successful Eldoret Club edition, where four golfers secured their places in the Grand Finale.
Dennis Rono stole the show with a remarkable round of 64 to clinch the overall winner’s title.
He was joined by Shadrack Ngetich, Jedidah Keitany, and Jonathan Barorot in qualifying for the season-ending event.
Ngetich, playing off handicap 6, topped the men’s category with a score of 66, while Keitany, playing off 21, emerged as the lady winner with 75 points.
Barorot, playing off 17, impressed with a 70 to take home the junior title.
Speaking ahead of the Limuru event, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora reiterated the bank’s commitment to supporting golf at all levels.
“At NCBA, we are proud to support the full spectrum of golf development—from elite amateur players and rising juniors to seasoned professionals and everyday amateur golfers,” he said.
“Our goal is to provide a platform for talent to shine, grow the game sustainably, and build meaningful connections with our communities through sport. We are excited for this weekend’s action in Limuru and look forward to seeing more golfers qualify for the Grand Finale.”
The NCBA Golf Series has grown into one of the region’s premier amateur golf circuits, fostering competition, camaraderie, and talent development across Kenya.
