The 2025 NCBA Golf Series resumes this Saturday at Sigona Golf Club with the 16th qu alifying leg, attracting over 250 golfers to the par-72 course.
The Sigona Golf Club, which last hosted the 2023 Grand Finale, returns to the series after missing out in 2024.
During the 2023 Grand Finale Kitale’s Philip Shiharsy triumphed with a gross score of 75.
This Saturday, golfers will compete across various categories including Overall Men and Lady Gross Winners, Division 2 Men & Lady Winners, Division 3 Overall Winner, and Junior Winner.
Winners in each category will book their slots in the Grand Finale set for November at Muthaiga Golf Club.
The Sigona event follows a packed June calendar that featured five qualifiers, including the first regional leg at Uganda Golf Club.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora said: “The NCBA Golf Series returns to Sigona on Saturday, and we are happy to be heading back to the course where we held our Grand Finale in 2023.”

Adding to the weekend’s golfing spectacle, the Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) continues with the NCBA Limuru Open & Brackenhurst Trophy at Limuru Country Club from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6.
Meanwhile, the PGK Equator Tour tees off at Ruiru Sports Club on Thursday, July 3.
NCBA is backing both events, sponsoring four professionals—Eric Ooko, Nelson Mudanyi, Abraham Galgalo, and Njuguna Ngugi—at the Equator Tour, part of the PGK Player Development Program supported by eight corporates.
“This weekend is a true celebration of golf in Kenya, and we are proud to play a central role across all levels of the game,” said Gachora.
“We are committed to growing the sport and look forward to an inspiring weekend.”
At Limuru, KAGC leader John Lejirma headlines a 152-player field, fresh from his dominant win at the Goldfields Trophy in Kakamega where he carded 68, 74, and 67 to finish at seven under par (-7).
He leads the season with 1,720 points, followed by Michael Karanga at 1,063, who returns this weekend after missing Kakamega.
Elvis Muigua sits third with 795 points heading into the Limuru event.
