Muthaiga Golf Club’s Greg Snow strengthened his hold on the Betika Masters title race after another stellar performance in the second round at Limuru Country Club, widening his lead to six shots.

Snow carded a flawless 5-under par round to take his total score to 11-under, putting him in a commanding position ahead of Tuesday’s final round.

His round featured birdies on holes 1, 2, 3, 6, 10, 11, and 18, with only two dropped shots on 4 and 13.

“It’s been good. I limited the mistakes and kept giving myself a lot of opportunities for birdies, and I’m taking advantage of that,” said Snow after his round.

“I got off to a fast start again with three birdies on the first three holes. It’s really been good ball striking.”

Looking ahead to the final round, he added, “The plan is the same, stick to the process, hit the greens, and create as many chances as possible. The putter is working well, so I just need to stay steady.”

Rwanda’s Celestin Nsanzuwera climbed into second place with a 2-under par round, moving to 5-under overall.

His card included birdies on 3, 13, 15, 16, and 18, offset by a bogey on 8 and a double bogey on 5.

Three-time SDT–EAS winner Njoroge Kibugu sits third at 4-under after a 3-under par performance. Despite birdies on 1, 3, 5, 13, 15, and 18, Kibugu’s day was marred by a double bogey on 17.

“Personally, it wasn’t a very good day for me,” he admitted.

“I didn’t hit my driver well, though the irons gave me chances, especially on the par threes. The putts didn’t drop today. I could have finished six or seven under, but that’s golf.”

He explained the costly mistake on 17: “I hadn’t hit my driver well the whole day. On 17, I pulled it left, it hit a tree and no one saw the ball, so it was lost. I made par with the second ball, so it became a double. I really didn’t need that at that point, but we take it and move on.”

Jastas Madoya, Dismas Indiza, and Rizwan Charania are tied in fourth place at 3-under par heading into the final round.

The cut was set at 7-over par, with Naom Wafula standing out as the only female golfer to advance to the final round, maintaining her impressive run on the Tour.

Meanwhile, amateur Mercy Nyanchama provided one of the day’s biggest highlights with a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th — a memorable moment for the field and fans alike.

The top 30 players and ties will contest the final round on Tuesday, competing for a KSh 2 million prize purse, as well as world ranking and Safari Tour points that contribute to qualification for the 2026 Magical Kenya Open.
