Junior golfer Junaid Ayaz Manji of Sigona Golf Club delivered a mature and commanding performance to clinch the 67th NCBA Sigona Bowl, outshining a field packed with experienced amateurs.

The three-day championship, played from January 15–17, officially teed off the Kenya Golf Union (KGU)-sanctioned 2026 Kenya Amateur Golf Championship season, attracting 150 players from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and India.

Playing off a +3.7 handicap, the reigning Nairobi District Championship (NDC) winner posted rounds of 74, 73 and a brilliant closing 66 to finish on three-under-par 213, the only player to end the tournament under par.

After steady opening rounds that kept him firmly in contention, Manji produced the defining moment of the tournament on the final day.

His six-under-par 66, the lowest score of the championship, featured a flurry of birdies and a strong back-nine finish that decisively separated him from the chasing pack and secured the prestigious Sigona Bowl title on home soil.

Elvis Muigua of Windsor Golf and Country Club finished second on +1 (217) after consistent rounds of 72, 73 and 72, remaining in touch throughout the tournament but unable to match Manji’s final-day surge.

Third place went to Dennis Maara of Limuru Country Club, who carded +3 (219) with rounds of 72, 75 and 72, bouncing back strongly in the final round after a challenging second day.
